Amie Eipers, LCSW, C.H.. Originally from Bloomington-Normal, IL, I moved to the Naperville area in 2005. I have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Illinois State University and a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and I received my license in 2004 becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have 35 years of experience, in a variety of settings, including working for DCFS, drug / alcohol treatment program, supervising a crisis nursery and family visitation program (for families with a history of domestic violence), outpatient mental health intake, working as a mental health clinician on an inpatient psychiatric unit at two hospitals, as well as my private counseling practice.
I have two children, a 27 year old daughter and 25 year old son. There are many activities I enjoy, including playing with and walking my dogs, watching sports, going to concerts, travel, and redecorating my house. I also really like working out and have recently returned to running. I lost a large amount of weight around 2001, and gradually began incorporating running into my workouts. By 2010, I felt ready to run a race, and complete the Chicago Rock and Roll Half Marathon in August, 2010. Since then, I have run many more races, of varying lengths, and look forward to completing a couple of races next year. My kids are grown and living their lives, but I enjoy seeing them whenever I can. My husband and I spend a lot of time hanging out with our two cats and two dogs, watching sports and tv shows, and traveling as much as possible.
I am happy to announce that I was the recipient of the 2025 Best of Naperville, IL Award, Psychotherapist category. I am very proud to have also won in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. I am both humbled and grateful for those who nominated and voted for me. It is truly an honor to be recognized in this way.
